Reassembled Women explores how identity can fracture, shift, and still remain whole. A feminine figure emerges from overlapping faces, geometric fragments, and contrasting planes—each section carrying a different expression yet held together within one form.

I built the piece in sweeping layers of acrylic and airbrush, balancing soft curves with sharp architectural shapes. A hand-painted pink ribbon moves through the composition as a quiet symbol of strength, remembrance, and solidarity. The work is not about being broken; it is about gathering the many versions of ourselves into something resilient and complete.

About the Artist
Rita Irvin is a self-taught mixed-media artist raised in West Berlin, Germany. Her paintings work through memory, emotion, and transformation, built in layered textures and imagery. Influenced by Dalí, Frida Kahlo, and Georgia O'Keeffe, Rita developed her own visual language without formal training, shaped by years in interior design and a lifelong immersion in art and architecture. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind original, made by hand and never reproduced.
