I painted a skeletal figure, exposed bone and trailing root, reaching across the threshold to extend a single blood-red rose toward a shadow figure kneeling below. The rose sheds its petals mid-air between them, and a corona of gold and rust light fractures the dark behind them.

About the Artist
Rita Irvin is a self-taught mixed-media artist raised in West Berlin, Germany. Her paintings work through memory, emotion, and transformation, built in layered textures and imagery. Influenced by Dali, Frida Kahlo, and Georgia O'Keeffe, Rita developed her own visual language without formal training, shaped by years in interior design and a lifelong immersion in art and architecture. Each print is a signed, numbered limited edition, printed on archival paper from an original work by the artist.
