Gold Moon Rising - Signed Fine Art Print | Rita Irvin

I painted her rising through still water at the hour when the moon takes over for the sun, eyes closed, face lifted to the light. Koi move around her without hurry between the lily pads, and a single white flower opens on the surface.

A compass rose rests on her shoulder. Along the edge of the water I lettered a line I kept coming back to while I worked: Like the moon, be whole. Like the water, be still. Like the koi, keep moving.

The original was painted in acrylic, oil, and gold leaf on a 30 x 40 inch canvas. This is a signed, numbered print of that painting, part of my Koi Series.

About the Artist
Rita Irvin is a self-taught mixed-media artist raised in West Berlin, Germany. Her paintings work through memory, emotion, and transformation, built in layered textures and imagery. Influenced by Dalí, Frida Kahlo, and Georgia O'Keeffe, Rita developed her own visual language without formal training, shaped by years in interior design and a lifelong immersion in art and architecture.
