The Quiet Pull
The Quiet Pull explores the tension between stillness and movement. A contemplative blue figure emerges through a fragmented field as luminous koi sweep upward, suggesting memory, intuition, and the unseen forces that draw us forward.
I built the surface slowly, breaking it into shifting sections and reassembling the image through layered mixed media. The structured geometry contrasts with the flowing fish, creating a sense of quiet transformation.

About the Artist
Rita Irvin is a self-taught mixed-media artist raised in West Berlin, Germany. Her paintings work through memory, emotion, and transformation, built in layered textures and imagery. Influenced by Dalí, Frida Kahlo, and Georgia O'Keeffe, Rita developed her own visual language without formal training, shaped by years in interior design and a lifelong immersion in art and architecture. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind original, made by hand and never reproduced.
