Parkside ParadoxOriginal Mixed Media

I painted her at the edge of the park just as the light changed.

Below her, a small black bird holds its ground. Around them, green organic forms drift like deep-sea flora, a violet trumpet blooms without a stem, and dots scatter across the ochre ground.

Gold leaf runs through the layers, catching light in fragments.

About the Artist
Rita Irvin is a self-taught mixed-media artist raised in West Berlin, Germany. Her paintings work through memory, emotion, and transformation, built in layered textures and imagery. Influenced by Dalí, Frida Kahlo, and Georgia O'Keeffe, Rita developed her own visual language without formal training, shaped by years in interior design and a lifelong immersion in art and architecture. Every piece is a one-of-a-kind original, made by hand and never reproduced.
