I split the figure between flesh and bone: one half in vibrant blue with delicate wings still taking shape, the other worked back to bare structure underneath.

I built the two sides against each other, layer over layer, until neither could stand without the other.

About the Artist
Rita Irvin is a self-taught mixed-media artist raised in West Berlin, Germany. Her paintings work through memory, emotion, and transformation, built in layered textures and imagery. Influenced by Dalí, Frida Kahlo, and Georgia O'Keeffe, Rita developed her own visual language without formal training, shaped by years in interior design and a lifelong immersion in art and architecture. Each print is a signed, numbered limited edition, printed on archival paper from an original work by the artist.
