I painted the skull first and kept it centered, purple, a little psychedelic. The tail came next, working it toward something between a snake and a dragon.

Then I built the background out in bright orange and teal rings, chasing the same pop it has on a wall.

This one is from 2024. The title came right after: the skull looked like it was opening into a flower.
