I painted the skull first, then the curling tail beneath it. It read like a scorpion and a sinking sun, so I kept the palette muted.
This one is from 2024, early in my return to painting after years away. Fewer techniques than I use now. Just fun to work on.
The title came right after I finished it: the tail curls, and the whole thing whispers.
